Welcome

You can tell the strength of a Community School by its genuine desire to work with and support its local area. I believe we have a thriving Community Education Dept that does just that and is also continuously trying to find new ways to support Learning in the Community in all its breadth and diversity.

There is a huge range of courses in this brochure-academic, vocational and recreational. Our aim is to help meet and develop the Lifelong Learning needs of everyone. Through our Extended Schools work we are especially keen to hear from people who may have ideas for Basic Skills courses or Childcare / Family / Parenting courses. Areas we see as being important to the well being of our Community.

I warmly recommend the courses and activities described in this brochure. Remember our programme is for all ages and we especially want to encourage families, parents and friends to learn together. I very much look forward to meeting many of you over the course of the year.
